Theseus vs. The Minotaur

While I was out at the Star Wars Celebration event I met with a publisher to see if I could make an officially licensed DrawingIsSimple Star Wars book. I had seen that there were a couple of other how to draw books out there and thought that I could really contribute to the offerings. Unfortunately things didn’t work out. There were long spells of silence and then nothing. sigh

So I took the matter into my own hands. If I wasn’t going to be able to get a license to make some heroic Star Wars Stories, I would have to make my own. I decided that I would lean on the Greek Myths and create a How-To-Draw Storybook. As the reader meets the characters in the story of Theseus vs. The Minotaur the learn how to draw them with the DrawingIsSimple method. But for this book I actually had a special coin minted to be used as a drawing template. The coin has guide lines on it to mark after the coin is traced. It essentially is an adaptable connect-the-dots template. I am pleased with the way the book turned out, but it’s costly to make all of these products on my own and the try and figure out a proper distribution for them.
