Marvel Licensing
My Product Manager at Trends International has been working diligently to secure a licensing agreement so we can begin production with various properties. We have received the green light from Warner Bros. including DC Comics and have been going through design revisions with Marvel.
Going through the licensing approval process has been a bit of a pain! The DrawingIsSimple coin helps anyone to create a circle with guide markers on it. Then, by following the steps, anyone can draw the characters. The all follow the same basic format. So in my mind, it’s all very straight forward and all of the characters have a similar look and feel to them. Marvel is being very particular about the way that their characters are presented and they want to see variations of the characters. I put together a couple of illustrations to show how the way that their characters are currently presented in the style guide are not that different from a DIS character!
